Ia pun mengantarkan Kedah FA menjuarai Piala Malaysia musim ini.
Sebelum berseragam Kedah FA , sriker 32 tahun itu bermain untuk klub Liga 1 2018, Mitra Kukar .
Fernando Rodriguez cukup tajam bermain di Liga 1 musim 2018.
Ia mencetak 15 gol bersama Mitra Kukar selama satu musim. Akan tetapi nasib tidak baik terjadi untuk Mitra Kukar di musim itu yang harus terdegradasi.
