Pria yang dijuluki Il Principino atau Pangeran Kecil saat di Juventus itu sebelumnya mendapatkan berbagai tawaran dari klub-klub kuat, di antaranya adalah Inter Milan dan klub Liga China, Jiangsu Shuning.

Sial bagi Inter, status musuh bebuyutan Juventus membuat Marchisio enggan menerima tawaran tersebut.

Alasan rasa cinta yang besar pada Juventus juga diberikan ketika menolak pinangan dari Jiangsu Shuning.

Marchisio emoh menerima tawaran Shuning karena klub tersebut berafiliasi dengan Inter Milan.
